Publish, comments and sharing

Updated September 2026

Once a post reads the way you want, going live takes two clicks. This page covers publishing, where published posts show up, and how to share them.

Publish a post

  1. Open the post from Website → Blog.
  2. In the sidebar, open Post Details and set Post Status to Published (or Scheduled with a publish date; see Categories and drafts).
  3. Click Save.

The post is now live at https://your-domain/blog/your-post-url, using your custom domain when one is connected, or your Afterify URL otherwise.

Where posts appear on your site

  • Your blog feed: every published post is served under /blog/ on your site, newest first by publish date.
  • Blog Index sections: if you've added a Blog Index section to a page, published posts appear there with search and category filters. See Gallery and client index blocks for adding one.
  • Related Posts: each post ends with a Related Posts section that links to other published posts, matched by category.

Drafts and scheduled posts never appear in any of these until they're published.

Share a post

The quickest way to grab a post's public link is the Copy Link tool at the top of the post editor sidebar. It copies the full URL, ready to paste into an email, a caption or a client message. You'll see a "Link copied" confirmation.

A couple of sharing details worth knowing:

  • The link uses the post's URL slug from Post Details. Changing the slug after you've shared a link breaks the old one, so settle the URL before you promote a post.
  • The SEO & Social panel's description and meta image control how the link previews on social platforms and in search results. A strong meta image makes a real difference to clicks.

Copy Link works even while the post is still a draft, but the page won't load for visitors until the post is published.

Comments

Blog comments aren't available yet. Published posts don't show a comment box, and there's nothing you need to moderate. If comments matter to your workflow, let us know; it helps us prioritize.
