Client downloads

Downloads work in two directions: clients can download from their gallery when you allow it, and you can export bulk ZIPs of any photos from Studio.

  1. Open the project and go to Settings.
  2. Turn on the Downloading switch.
  3. Choose which sizes clients get: Original Size, Web Size (reduced), or both.
  4. Click Save.

Downloading is per project, so you can allow it on the final gallery but not on proofing galleries.

What clients see

With downloading on, each photo in the gallery gets a download button that saves the image at the size you allowed. A Download Gallery button at the top of the gallery downloads everything:

  1. The client clicks Download Gallery.
  2. They confirm their email address (their download link is kept there) and click Prepare Download.
  3. Afterify zips the gallery in the background; when it's ready, they follow the link to save the ZIP.

If downloading is off but your store offers paid gallery downloads on the project's price sheet, the same button shows purchase options (web-size or print-size gallery download) instead, and adds the download to their cart. See Price sheets.

Bulk ZIP export from Studio

You can export any selection of photos yourself:

  1. In a project, select the photos (Ctrl/Cmd-click, Shift-click, or Ctrl/Cmd+A for all).
  2. Right-click and choose Download All. (For a single photo, choose Download to save it directly.)
  3. Afterify queues zipped files and shows a toast pointing you to the Downloads page.

Large selections are split automatically: each ZIP holds up to 50 photos or 1 GB, so a big wedding becomes several numbered files ("1 of 4", "2 of 4", and so on).

The Downloads page

Open Studio → Downloads to see every prepared export, newest first, with the client, file count, photo count, size and date. Click Download on a row to build and save that ZIP; the button shows Preparing... while it assembles.

Downloads your clients trigger count in the Workspace Highlights panel, so you can see which galleries are being saved.
