Print fulfillment

Print products in your store are fulfilled by WHCC, a professional print-on-demand photo lab. You never handle the physical order: when your client purchases a product, it's printed on demand by WHCC and shipped directly to them. The cost of the product is covered by the client's payment, and the rest is paid out to you.

What happens after an order

1. Your client picks a product in the gallery, chooses their options (size, paper and so on) and pays through the Stripe checkout, including a shipping address and shipping option.
2. Afterify submits the order to the lab automatically. The ordered photos are placed on hold in your studio so they can't be removed while the lab still needs the files.
3. The order appears under Store → Orders, and moves through statuses as the lab works: Processing while it's being handled, then Shipped once it leaves the lab.
4. When the lab ships, a Tracking Number appears on the order's detail page as a link your client's package can be followed with.

Shipping from the lab

Shipping options and rates are set by the vendor, not by you. Your client picks a shipping speed at checkout, and the fee is added to their total. You can review the current WHCC shipping types, delivery estimates and prices under Store → Settings → Shipping. Additional shipping rates may apply to larger items that have to be shipped separately.

Print quality

WHCC is a professional lab used by working photographers, and every product in the vendor catalog is produced on their equipment and stock. The paper and finish options you enable on your price sheet are the lab's own offerings, so what your client orders is what the lab produces. Files are printed from the full-resolution photos you uploaded to the project, so upload the highest quality originals you have. See Upload photos.

Want to check the physical quality yourself before selling? Order your own products through your store. Just note that test-mode orders are not sent to the lab; a real order requires your store to be live. See Test and publish your store.

Your payout

For each print order, the client's payment covers the lab's product cost and shipping; your markup is the profit that remains after Stripe's transaction fee (and the 15% commission on Free plan stores). The order detail page breaks this down under Payment, ending with Your Profit.
